Coffee in the am

Here’s to Fall! My favorite time of year when I love to keep cozy with knitting and coffee.

Did you know that National Coffee Day is this Saturday September 29th? Most days I gulp down a cup of coffee on the way out the door and have some at my desk while reading work email. But Saturdays, I’m more likely to enjoy a bit of quiet knitting, reading, or writing while savoring a strong cup of jo.

Thanks to Tully’s Coffee, I’ve been enjoying some really wonderful French Roast k-cups. The lovely people from Tully’s coffee want you to enjoy some good coffee too and are sponsoring a giveaway (for U.S. Residents).

To enter, just leave a comment on this post with a valid email address by 6 a.m. Pacific Time Sunday September 30th. That’s all. The winner will be chosen using random.org and you will have 24 hours to respond with your U.S. address to send the prize. Tully will send you the items in the picture below:

This giveaway provided by Tully’s will include two blends of coffee and a journal – either be K-cup packs or bagged, depending on your preference.

I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Tully’s K-cups – The french roast is a nice strong brew. And they sent me a journal as well and it is the perfect size to carry in my bag.

Speaking of brew – the cowl above is a great simple knit that I am in love with because of the gorgeous Socks that Rock yarn in the “Witch’s Brew” colorway. The pattern is a basic 3×1 rib that is coming along quite nicely.

What’s your favorite way to enjoy coffee?

UPDATE: Giveaway is now closed – Hope you had a great National Coffee Day.

Congrats to Lynn – I’ll be contacting you to get your info – Yay!
Congrats to number 2 - Lynn

Cannon Beach – pretty wave infinity scarf is an easy knit

Finally fully finished. Another one of those quick knits that sat around because I didn’t block it or weave in the ends. It will be perfect for the early fall evenings. Unfortunately, it was so long ago that I lost the ball band. I think this is a plucky worsted, but don’t hold me to it.

The pattern is available as a download from Ravelry
