I’ve been seeing quite a bit of chevron patterning lately. Mostly in home decor. Design*Sponge has a d.i.y. chevron wall, Sunset Magazine has a tutorial on on a repainted desk, I also like the chevron pillows popping up here and there. Coming across all of this chevron love rekindled my desire to knit the Chevron Scarf from “Last Minute Knitted Gifts” and it has become my traveling project. In fact, the pictures above and below were taken in my car. (No, I wasn’t driving at the time)
It is being knit in 2-ply cashmere. The grey is from Plucky and the other is from Squoosh. Usually the scarf is done in a hand painted multi-color yarn with an equally stunning effect. I wanted stripes a bit thicker so I’m just switching colors after every 8 rows instead of 4.
