Photography and practicing patience

One of the best things about taking a class is that it forces me into a regular practice. The practice of taking time to observe my surroundings is something I’ve come to most enjoy. I’ve also learned that sometimes it is good to let go and let the lens do the work. And not to just shoot and walk away, but to wait.

Good things come to those who wait.

And sometimes looking just beyond what is right in front of you can reveal more beauty and life.
