Travel Photo Friday : Glacier Waterton National Park

Morning Sun on Lake McDonald

The crisp air and the morning sun on Lake McDonald made it worth getting up early. We took an extended vacation and spent a week at Glacier National Park in August of 2008. Stunning views were around every corner.

Travel Photo Friday: It’s all in the details at The Happiest Place on Earth

New Orleans Square

The last time I tweeted about being at Disneyland I got lots of people responding: You’re there Again?

If we lived in Southern California, I’d probably be there even more often. What I like about regular visits is that I get to concentrate on the beautiful details of the park.

Alice Leaves

Like the painted leaves at Alice in Wonderland.

Tile in Fantasy Land Bathroom

And the fabulously themed bathroom for  “Queens” with playing card stall doors and heart tiles.

Dumbo

Dumbo’s sweet expression.

Small world at golden hour

And the Small World facade at golden hour.

Adrian at Monster's inc

But as always, the best part is seeing the place reflected in the smiles of the visitors.

D.I.Y. Advent Calendar Update – the first 8 days

DIY Advent Calendar Day 1-8

So here are the first two rows of the Advent Calendar I made from an over-the-door shoe organizer. I’ve been making use of some tiny clothes pins and binder clips to attach items to the front.

It is turning into more of a visual journal. We went to two basketball games as shown by the tickets. Then I hung a Santa ornament on the day of our office holiday party when the kids of our work community get to meet Santa. The other days are just decorated with odds and ends from my stash and a few favorite ornaments.

We’ve got some really fun days ahead and I look forward to adding some more festive items to the mix.
